Dacoda Nichole Jones, who also did not mention the athlete by name, shared a series of photos on social media that appeared to show signs of physical abuse. Jones stated the person involved was the father of her children, and reports indicate she has kids with Rice, whom the Chiefs drafted in the 2023 draft.
Police Reports Reportedly Not on File
No official complaints were available in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
Player's Recent Legal Issues
Rice was absent for the first six games of this season due to an league-mandated ban for his involvement in causing a multi-vehicle accident on a Dallas highway that resulted in multiple people injured. Rice was sentenced a month of incarceration and probationary supervision after entering a guilty plea to serious offenses.
On the field, he concluded the year with 53 receptions for 571 yards and five touchdowns as the Chiefs finished 6-11 and missed the playoffs for the first time in a decade.
